Our amazing Creator God!

Posted by on July 29, 2015 at 3:26 am

Some sent us an amazing email the other day.  Thought aus3I would share it here!

When GOD solves our problems, we have faith in HIS abilities.  When GOD doesn’t solve our problems HE has faith in our abilities.

God’s accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs. . . . .

-those of the canary in 14 days; -those of the barnyard hen in 21 days; -eggs of ducks and geese in 28 days; -those of the mallard in 35 days;

-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!)

God’s wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. . . .

fireworks3After four years in production, this is my first ever published novel!  ‘Guardians of the Promise: Tamar’s Story’.

In 1714 BC, a young country girl began the journey of her life.  She was given in marriage to the eldest son of Judah, to Erdad of the tribe of   Abraham.  As she began this journey in fear and trembling, Tamar had little idea of the future she would find.

Remember, if you send me an email, I’ll send you a free chapter!

Four years later, she helped to bury her first husband and, in the custom of Abraham’s people, she was given in marriage to the second son, Onan.

Life Law #2: Face the 4 Common Reactions to Change

Posted by on March 2, 2015 at 6:57 amjobs

FB Life StratiesMost people have cheated themselves out of the life that God wants to give them by settling for less that they are worth.  We can also cheat ourselves by not looking at the real issues and asking the hard questions.

Be willing to ask the Hard Questions: “Am I really headed where I want to go?”  “Is what I have settled for out of being safe, easy or not as scary rather than get what I really want?” “Am I taking life as it is – just because it has always been that way?” What would I like to see changed?”

Determine right now to let the rest of humanity live in the fog of self-deception and you and God can change your life.

9/26 Teach your Children how to Hear from God

Posted by on April 27, 2013handbook at 5:43 am

From time to time, I want to share an interesting session as a Mentor.

I have been working with a young Mum on hearing from God.  I have been encouraging her to pray for her daughter at night.  Lately, she has been asking 4 year old ‘Jeanie‘ what the Lord is saying to her.

One night, Jeanie said she had been having bad dreams.  “Could Jesus help me with these back dreams?” was her next question.  Her mother assured her that He loved her enough that He could and would.

The next night, Jeanie said she had another bad dream.  “…and what did Jesus say?” was Mum’s question.

“He said to think about the peanut butter and honey sandwiches you like instead of thinking about being afraid.”

9/22 Guest Post for Hearing God – Max Lucado ‘The Choice’

Posted by on April 21, 2013 at 2:05 amresearch

The following has been adapted from a great book by Max Lucado.  It’s called ‘The Choice’.  I have used it on another of my blogs but Iwanted to share this with you today.

<><>o0o<><>

He placed one scoop of clay upon another until a form lay lifeless on the ground.  All of the Garden’s inhabitants paused to witness the event.  Hawks hovered.  Giraffes stretched.  Trees bowed. Butterflies paused on petals and watched.

“You will love me, nature,” God said.  “I made you that way.  You will obey me universe.  For you were destined to do so.  You will reflect my glory Stars, for that is how you were created.  But this one will be like Me.  This one will be able to choose.”

9/12 How can I help my Heart to Heal when Hearing God

Posted by on April 11, 2013 at 2:12 am

In our last posts, we talked about having a heart and that our heart can be in different conditions.  We gave you a few practical ways to see what is in your own Heart and how to help prepare your Heart to find ways to communicate with YOU.

The aim of this whole series is to help you find out about your Heart and how to help call it to be a real Jesus Follower.  As we have seen, our heart often determines how much we allow the Lord into our life.  This is why it is so important to learn about the Heart and how to help it find the real Jesus, rather than the ‘Sunday School’ Jesus we may have first seen.

In our last posts, we talked about having a heart and that our heart can be in different conditions.  Have you started to look at what might be in your Heart yet?  We will include practical ways that you can start to do this.

Remember we also talked about how your Heart is hidden and yet it is the central location of all the issues of your life.  Hhuuummm so what can this mean?  To understand this, we must look at some of the beginning of all our Heart issues.

A.  We all Begin with a Heart in the same Condition

 Ephesians 4:18 explains this.

“They (meaning us) are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their heart.”

9/1 Welcome to this new series on our blog about Hearing God!

Welcome back!  We are combining several very important concepts in this new series.

We plan on talking about the Heart and the journey to help our heart be healed and follow Jesus.  For many people, even to know that we each one have a ‘spiritual’ heart is a revelation.  Then to find out that our heart can be in a variety of conditions adds to the ‘ahaaa…’.

So what is the condition of your heart…broken, shattered, in intensive care, bleeding to death, splattered against the wall …. or have you learned how to have a healthy hear?  We shall present ways to get in touch with your heart to find out ‘its condition’.

Guest Post – So What is the Human Spirit?

Posted by on April 15, 2013 at 3:12 pm

icon - view of beachRecently, the Christian Community celebrated ‘Penetecost Sunday’, the day in the calendar when the Lord Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to His church, some 2,000 years ago.  It would have been quite a shock to see Him alive but to hear Jesus say He was going to leave them again …. it would have been confusing.  Jesus then told His followers to wait in Jerusalem until He could send the Holy Spirit, to be the Comforter and Teacher they needed.

With that as background, we have a special Guest Post.  We can talk about hearing God and how we respond to Him spiritually …… but what does that mean?  If we relate to God who is Spirit, we need tor elate to Him spiritually.  So let me present a very special friend and Pastor, sharing on the topic “What is the Human Spirit?”

So what are good reasons to hear from God?

So far in this series, we have covered reason why some people struggle to hear from God:  ignorance, wrong thinking about God’s character, fear of change, blockages of past hurts and most important, our heart really doesn’t want to hear from Him.

So, in bringing this first series to a close, I wanted to leave you with a more positive outlook: What are some good reasons to hear from God? We will cover the very important and main reasons to let God into our heart and life.

Once we can get our heart to be open to the possibilities of hearing from Him as a benefit in our personal life, than we can build on good reasons to continue to practice that part of our walk with God.

Hearing God and Remain in the Vine – Guest Post

Posted by on April 5, 2013 at 12:12 am

I always thought I was doing great as a good person.  However, Jesus showed me a picture of a green vine.  I was the branches of this green vine – supposed to be a fruit vine.  However it was not bearing fruit for a long time.  To me I felt healthy and from a distance I would appear to be healthy with loving dark green leaves.  However little did I know that I was not making my Owner very happy as I was not doing my job in producing fruit.

“As I felt pretty healthy, I thought that I didn’t need to rely on my Owner’s roots for nourishment.  I thought that I should be able to survive in all types of weather by myself.  Jesus revealed to me that even though I was meant to be a fruit vine, in His eyes, I appeared to be a common evergreen vine instead.

Cuppa’ with Susanne – A Christian Perspective on the Horrors of 9/11

Posted by on March 13, 2013 at 10:12 amfeed

In our last Cuppa time together, we talked about the interesting concept of hearing God to give a ‘Birthday Blessings Celebration’.  It was great to see a few comments on this unique way to celebrate our Creator’s choice to have someone born into this world.

So grab a cuppa’ and let’s see what our time together brings.

I sat in my car the other day – the other very wet rainy, miserable day – with a flat tire/tyre, waiting for the Service van.   As I looked out my rain splattered, blurry window, there was as magnificent rainbow!  …glorious….and it started me thinking.  Was it a good thing I that happened?  No, I was soaked trying to change the tyre/tire, I missed a very important meeting, my friends were worried ….but whoa! The rainbow ….. Glorious!

“Have you ever been saved?” A rather wide-eyed young fellow startled me with his question as we walked for the bus.  He handled me a booklet with a picture of hell on the front.

“Sure” I responded. “Once when I was 9 years old, I was swimming at Jones Beach on Long Island, and a strong undertow began to drag me out to sea. My Uncle heard my call for help and …..”

“No, No,” he interrupted. “Redeemed! Have you been redeemed? You know reborn ….washed in the blood!”

“What,” I inquired, “in the world are you talking about?”

“Convicted. Have you ever been convicted?”

“No of course not,“ I replied. “I’ve never been in trouble with the law.”
