5/7d The Results of the Covenant between Joshua and Jehovah

April 9, 2013content

1.  Repeated Violations brought Consequences

History shows the repeated violation of this covenant, especially their breaking covenant for the care of His Land and for their repeated idolatry, Leviticus 26:33-34, Ezekiel 20:1-26, 2 Chronicles 36:21.  These sins forced God to judge them repeatedly by withholding the rains and eventually removing them from the Land altogether, Deuteronomy 29:1-29, 2 Chronicles 36:21.

2.  Jehovah Removes them from His Land

All the 12 tribes were taken into captivity for their rebellion, pride rebellion. With the dispersion of Israel, the Land itself became desolate.  The Early and Latter rains were not given for centuries.

5/5a Hearing God – The Covenant Between God and Abraham

April 14, 2013

Welcome back to our fifth post covering the Nine Covenant Arrangements made between Jehovah and an individual.  So far we have traced the original covenant with the first man created in the Garden of Eden

Then we saw the tragic results when Adam and Eve broke this Covenant and a second covenant was explained.  After Adam and Eve, the heart condition of mankind did not change and so, the next covenant was made with Noah.

Even with the world wide flood, human nature still turned to our own self-centred, rebellious ways.  Again Jehovah sought out one man and began a new relationship and a new covenant with him.  This man was Abraham, the Father of many nations.  Join us now as we continue the story of the human race and God’s desire to form relationship.

#2d. Recognising Bondages in Personal Spiritual Warfare

April 3, 2013conditions

As we continue our series on Personal Spiritual Warfare, our next post is on ‘So how do I know if I have Bondages?’  We have set the background of our series by first describing how a loving Creator designs and spoke into being the universe and the unseen spiritual realm with angelic beings.  Next creation included the Earth and a perfect paradise with humans called Adam and Eve.

Because of the rebellion and warfare in the angelic realm, deception entered the Earth, Eve was seduced by the snake in the Garden of Eden and Adam followed.  Becoming the first ‘wimp’, Adam did not stand up to temptation for himself or for the woman he was given.  We than when onto taking about how the whole Earth and all humankind has been infected since then, some 7,000 years later.  (Notice I’m not using billions of years later!  We’ll talk about this when we go onto Challenge to the Christian Faith in our other blog: )
