8/6 YouTube Video Resources – A Place Called Heaven

November 21, 2012api

YouTube video Resources:

I am sure you have read or heard about many who have died and seen heaven for themselves. They describe such a realm that is beyond description. Some who died and came back to life revealed seeing their lost loved ones in heaven, their family, friends and some even their pets.

This is difficult to prove, yet the sheer number of these who have seen heaven and came back from death is hard to refute. Only they themselves know this for certain. But the Bible does describe some of what heaven is like in the scriptures. It is, from the human standpoint, indescribable, I Corinthians 2:9.

Guest Post – Mary Did you Know?

November 17, 2012

At the time of writing this Guest post, we had just celebrated Resurrection Sunday, 2012.  Just as many churches around the world remembered the event when Jesus Christ was crucified and arose from the dead, our celebration centred on the wonder of our Creator’s love for us.  Remember ‘……The Word became flesh and He lived among us……”

This Sunday service was especially meaningful for us as the following reading was presented by a special woman in our congregation, Jinny.  So here is the Poem she wrote and presented to mark our celebration.

‘Mary did you know?

Crying you waited,

Silent, weeping outside the tomb;

The others were bewildered, back to their homes ..

But you waited on.

Where was your Lord?

YouTube – Israel In Ancient Egypt – Archaeological Proof

November 11, 2012

Using the latest archaeological evidence from the stables of Rameses ll to little-known ancient Egyptian texts, Egyptologist and Bible Archaeologist show that Israel did in fact exist and had a presence in ancient Egypt. This is the 2003 documentary “Who Was Moses?”

The proof of the Bible record is clearly there.  Often it takes men of science to bring the information to the light of ‘modern day’ science.  Our thanks to  for this YouTube posted on October 24, 2011.  Catch you on our next post,

7/11 Other Parts of the New Covenant with Jesus Christ

November 5, 2012content

Welcome back!

So far in this part of our series on the Covenants of God, we have seen that is Covenant has its own blessings and curses.  We talked about the amazing gift of being ‘born again’.  We have a new standing with Father God, with dynamic rights and priviledges as His heir.  We laid out the positioin of our new Authority as we saw what the Covenant between Jehovah and Jesus Christ meant.

Now we return to actual Covenant terms, the sacrifice, the seal and the place where the Covenant was made a reality.

1.  The Sacrifice to Ratify the Agreement

6/3 Hearing God in David’s Covenant with Jehovah

November 12, 2012

So far we have set the background for our next covenant with Jehovah.  The time of King David was a new chapter in the people chosen history!  However, before we continue with the Covenant between David and Jehovah-Hosenu (The Lord our Maker, Psalms 95:6), we need to see some of David’s own background and his relationship with his God.

1.  The people wanted a King….just like all the other nations around them.

We can see from His promises made in past covenants, Jehovah did wish to establish a kingship line yet.  The people were not ready for the obedience and sacrifice having a King would mean.

5/7a Entering the Promised Land – the Covenant between Jehovah-Nissi and Joshua

November 30, 2012

So far we have covered the Four main covenants make by the Creator, Jehovah with individuals for the good of His people.  We began with the first covenant made with ‘Jehovah Elohim’ to have a people for His own.  This began the Greatest Rescue Plan ever designed, with the creation of the cosmos, the Garden of Eden and all the inhabitant, including Adam and Eve.

However, their perfect paridise was invaded with evil seduction and a second convenant was made with Adam and Eve after their disobedience.  As a result to whole of the human race and the Earth has felt this curse for almost 7,000 years.

Hearing God through the Covenants of God

November 14, 2012

As we begin this new series in Hearing God, I offer this story from Max Lucado as an introduction to the study on ‘The Covenants of God’.

The Choice  –  by Max Lucado

He placed one scoop of clay upon another until a form lay lifeless on the ground.  All of the Garden’s inhabitants paused to witness the event.  Hawks hovered.  Giraffes stretched.  Trees bowed. Butterflies paused on petals and watched.

All were silent as the Creator reached into Himself and removed something yet unseen.  A seed.  “It’s called ‘choice’.  The seed of choice.”  Creation stood in silence and gazed upon the lifeless form.

An angel spoke, “But what if he…what if he chooses not to love?”  The Creator finished.  “Come, I will show you.”

2f. Our Spiritual Authority and Hearing God

November 29, 2012

If you were with Jesus when He was here on Earth, there would be no doubt something was different about Him.  Sure, He related to the common people more, which made the religious leaders jealous.  However, what really set Him apart from all the other religious teachers was the authority He used and the reactions from the realm of the demonic.  Satan’s forces had no doubts about His power over them.  He was sent to destroy the works of the enemy and that He did just be being who He was.

Some might wonder why that ‘power’ is not more evident in our world today.  I deeply believe that if the body of Christ really knew and practiced their authority and ‘power’ in Christ today, we would have a vastly different universe.  Let me tell you the story of Alice Greyson.

Talking with Jesus Today

November 27, 2012

Our First Guest Post:

Today I would like to encourage you to pursue an intimate relationship with God.

We have been in ministry for over 25 years in Christian counselling and teaching and can forcefully proclaim that the biggest impediment to successful living is not having a two-way relationship with Jesus.  You have the right to hear your Heavenly Father’s voice on a daily basis!

I don’t know about you, but when I hear the word “prayer”, I often get the impression of someone who is petitioning God – a one-way monologue.  Why is this impression so common place?  Did you know that the root word for the English word “prayer” comes from Latin (precarious – Collins) and means “begging”?  I am sure Jesus is very saddened to know some of us limit our relationship with Him to “begging”.  I will use the word talking instead of prayer.
