8/3 So what will Heaven and Hearing God be Like?

October 30, 2012

As we continue with this eight and last Covenant, it helps if we have some idea of what Heaven will be like.  Will it be like the advertisements or angels floating on clouds, watching what’s going on elsewhere?  Will it be a ‘state’ of floating ‘nothing-ness’?  Will we just be sitting around singing with the angels throughout all eternity?  One thing we know for sure is that this place, this existence will be far, far beyond what we can imagine with our natural mind.

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him”, 1 Corinthians 2:9. Our minds simply cannot comprehend the glory that awaits us.   Our language doesn’t even have the proper words to describe how things will be in heaven.

Our Second Sunday Cuppa’ with Susanne

October 20, 2012

Recently we were honoured to be invited to a “Birthday Blessing Celebration“.  This was a family we have been involved with for many rewarding years of friendship.  So we joined the group for a radant 16 year old’s celebration.  She (we’ll call her Jackie from now on)  had been through an amazing turn-around in her own short life time.  She had ‘stumbled’ through 3 years from depressed, suicidal, rebellious, defiant teen to this person who sat before us now.

May we present Grace Communion International!

 A.  So what are they about:

“We are a Christian denomination active in about 100 nations. We pursue our mission of living and sharing the gospel with a vision for multiplying all kinds of churches, for all kinds of people, in all kinds of places. This website shares our story, highlights our churches and offers resources for disciplining people of all ages, developing existing churches and planting new churches.”

He Makes Everything New!

October 7, 2012api

Hi Everyone!   Just a quick story I wanted to share from my Mentor’s Notebook!

Patricia struggled many years from the physical and sexual abuse she experienced as a child.  She had avoided male contact and always felt shame and not being good enough for anyone to love.  Then she sat with the Lord one day and all that changed.

Patricia first saw pieces of unfinished, raw wood lying on the floor.   Some of was cut and other bits were broken and burnt.  At first, she thought she was being discarded until she saw the second picture.

She saw many pieces of crack, broken glass, all different colours and shapes.  Now, as the tears started, she was certain these 2 pictures represented her life.  What was the Lord saying?

7/13 Summary and Conclusion for the Covenant with Jehovah and Jesus Christ

October 4, 2012

As we bring this part of our series on the Covenants made between our Creator and Jesus Christ, it will help us to wrap up with a summary.

Jehovah God has had one great purpose since before the Creation of the Earth:  to redeem a wrecked and ruined world, a sin defiled creation.  Two alternatives were presented to Man:  Choose God and His way or choose pride and Self-reliance, the pleasures of this passing world.

To bring this Great Rescue Plan into being, our Creator made Seven major covenants.  Each one ended or passed onto the next agreement.  All these ‘agreements’ made were broken in some degree, which leads us to the Covenant made between God and Jesus Christ, the Seventh Covenant.

6/2 Background to the Creator’s Covenant with David

October 10, 2012marketing

Welcome back to our series on the Covenants that Jehovah Elohim made with individuals.  In our last post, we began a quick review of this series and set the scene for the Seventh Covenant.  Jehovah Raah, the Great Shepherd of Psalms 23, watched as a young shepherd boy learned his lessons in the fields fighting lions and guarding his flock.

In this post, we continue after the death of King Saul, but before David was enthroned in Jerusalem.  As we have discovered with the past covenants, this one too, pointed to the coming Messiah.  It previewed His eternal throne, an everlasting King and a righteous people who have chosen God as their own.

5/4d Hearing your Creator through the Great Flood

October 25, 2012
You are here: Creation >> The Flood

Recently, we were given permission to reprint an article from on the Great Flood from a Creation point of view.  We trust this will add to your faith and understanding about the world of humans and the holiness of God.

The Flood – Biblical Story
The Flood (a.k.a. Noah’s Flood) is the worldwide cataclysmic event that utterly devastated the earth sometime between 2,000 and 3,000 BC. According to Genesis, chapters 6 through 9, earth’s humanity had degenerated into such a cesspool that God, in His sovereignty, decided to purge the earth. He graciously chose to spare a single human family and a variety of representatives from the animal kingdom to repopulate the earth after the Flood waters receded.

5/2 The First Covenant and Hearing God in the Garden of Eden

October 2, 2012

Welcome back to our fifth series on Hearing God!  We have been investigating just How God sets about to establish a relationship with us, with His creation.  In our last post on God’s Great Rescue Plan, we saw that He spoke to individuals and gave Nine Major Covenants down through human history.   We talked about who He made the covenants with, the purposes for His covenants and the three important parts to every covenant.

Now we move onto the first Covenant between Creator God, Jehovah-Elohim and the Man in the Garden of Eden.  In our third post of this series, we shall see the second agreement between God and the Covenant He made with both Adam and Eve after they had been deceived and lost their inheritance by disobedience.

4/2 The Sermon on the Mount – the Seven Beautitudes of Jesus

October 5, 2012rss

As we continue with our series on The Psychology of Jesus, we have added a paraphrase of what Jesus said in Matthew, chapter 5 called “The Sermon on the Mount” or ‘the Beatitudes’.  These are seven basic statements about the Psychology of Jesus and His message to the people around Him and to us today.  Read through each verse and comment carefully as those who have ears to ear, let them listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you today:

      1.  Help is promised to those who seek release from the afflictions of life: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3

What are the Ways that God Talks to us?

October 14, 2012site-map

As we read through stories and follow the Bible accounts, here are the main ways that God talks to us:

1. The PEACE of the Holy Spirit, the inner witness or calmness that comes with a right decision.  Tranquillity, a rest and an inner contentment:  Romans 8:16, I John 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 John 3:24, 4:13, Galatians 4:6.

2. HIS CREATION – in the design of “nature”, the perfection of the physical world, the perfection of God’s laws and the steadfastness of His principles:  Romans 1:19-20, Nehemiah 9:6, Acts 14:15-17, Psalms 19:1, 97:6

3.  The CONSCIENCE – Inbuilt values or principles every society lives by, whether that society believes in God or not:  John 16:8-9; Romans 2:15, Acts 17:26-28, Hebrews 9:14.

Good Reasons to Hear from God, part 2

October 23, 2012

In our last post, we talked about good reasons why we need to hear from God!  We were created with the need for this relationship; we were created to hear from our Creator.   This brings an added reality to our faith when we know He talks with us – personally.  Our Christianity is more than just rules and laws, rituals and conformity.  His relationship with us takes on a whole new level when we really, really know His voice.

Now we continue with a third reason why we need to concentrate on learning to hear from Him: He knows the future!  The Lord is beyond time so He is already out there in my tomorrows.  He knows what is going to happen next month, next year and even 10 years from now.  He knows where our eternity will be – and what we will be doing throughout all eternity!
