10/37 Rejoice in the Liberty and Peace of the Lord Jesus

hearing shell1abCongratulations! You’ve made it to the last post in this series on becoming a mature follower of Jesus Christ. Finished and now perfect – no, as you will still continue to grow but good job to get to this point.

Now that you know the Where we were headed and all the steps along the way, you might want to go back and start the series again. You’ll gain more the second time through. However now that you are reading this post, the final step we wanted to discuss was Rejoice!

Gratitude and appreciation are rare commodities in our fast food and convenient culture. When was the last time you told someone that you appreciate them for something – or for just being in your life? When have you stopped and be thankful for those around you who do care about you? Are thankful for those who are prepared to walk with you through life’s storms?

Certainly more goes on behind the scenes that most people express to others. Appreciation might be there but try speaking it out more. Look for those who help build your spiritual growth and let them know you noticed.

Gratitude is an amazing faith and relationship builder. Lear to allow the nature of gratitude to grow and be shown in your life more and more. This is especially true for those of us in relationships. Expressing our gratefulness and enjoyment of others is ‘contagious’; it will spread to others being more grateful too.

We finished a special ‘Cuppa with Susanne on Gratitude’. You can see it here:

9/25 Sunday Cuppa’ Gratitude –

This goes with the Lord’s graciousness with us as well. He not only loves you but guess what? He even likes you! He is committed to your growth and spiritual wholeness so much that the Word entered this world and even paid the ultimate price for that love. Have you said ‘Thank You’ for that lately?

It is appropriate that we do recognise and response with thanksgiving for what He has done for us. You’ve walked a big journey if you have followed all these steps we have given in this series. Good on ya’ as the Aussie would say!

In our next series, we’ll be looking at another important area for personal and Christian growth: “Understanding Spiritual gifts”. So come join us then! God’s best to all my readers!
